‘Written in the Starsʼ is Vanessa Silbermanʼs 5th single of 2020 (out 7/3/20 VIa A Diamond Heart Production / Success Records through Symphonic Distribution) and continues the release of 1 song a month, leading up to an album release by the end of the year.

Written in the Stars arrives just in time for a romantic 4th of July. The song is both captivating and dynamic with moments of lush strings and piano that contrast gracefully between the big anthemic rock guitar and gangs vocals. Drawing musical inspiration from everything from pop & hip hop drum samples to varied artists like Sia, The Beatles, Muse, the Goo Goo Dolls, Enya, Led Zeppelin & Nirvana. The song lyrically is about having trust and allowing yourself to fall in love. Love can be so absolutely beautiful but it can also be scary to be so vulnerable and let someone in. Audiofemme.com named the touring singer and guitarist one of the hardest working bands of 2019, 2018 as well as 2017 (as she managed to play over 200 shows that year alone). Vanessa has done over 19 tours between 2015-2020 and played over 800 shows across the U.S. as well as in the UK & Europe supporting 2 EPʼs (Brighter in Bloom & self-titled) and various singles released through her label, a 7” through Resurrection Records / ADHP as well as a cassette released by Weiner (Burger Records). Built on credibility and a great story to back it up, Vanessa is here with a fresh exciting song as well as a bright new image inspired by designer fashion meets pop and the grunge of rock’n roll.

Following her DIY roots, ‘Written in the Starsʼ along with the other new material is all self- produced, engineered, programmed, performed, mixed and mastered by Vanessa. Some of the new material and singles will also include special guests and features by other various musicians / artists. In the past notable features/collaborations have included Ken Susi from Unearth and the late Reed Mullin of Corrosion of Conformity. Vanessaʼs current line up features actor / drummer Ryan Carnes who has been a creative / drum consultant on the recordings and whoʼs backing vocals can also be heard on ‘Written in the Starsʼ.
