‘My Love’ was inspired by the magic of love and all the feelings you
get from being in love with a person. Inspired by her girlfriend, Vanessa
wanted to lyrically capture how powerful the sense of pure love really
is - when your so incredble touched by another human being. She also got the motivation to want to start releasing songs about love after doing a
Chopra Meditation and feeling like now more than ever we all need more
joy in this life after facing the many challenges that struck the world in 2020.

The self-produced, mixed and mastered , ‘My Love’ also marks the
beginnings of a new chapter as the songwriter has traded in much of the
rock sound for a more evolved alt pop direction. Incorporating more
samples, beats and synths akin to artists such as Passion Pit, Chvrches,
Phantogram and The XX. Her current line up includes actor/musician
Ryan Carnes on drums, who’s back up vocals can be heard on the song.
Ryan is also credited for additional production, arrangement, and lyrics on
the song as well as backup vocals.
